🌿 When Life Tries to Take Your Breath… Breathe Anyway

Have you ever had one of those days—or let’s be real, one of those seasons—where it feels like the weight of life is sitting on your chest?
Between the deadlines, the diapers, the duties at church, the demands of work, and the constant tug of everyone needing something from you, it’s easy to forget to simply breathe. Life will do that—apply pressure, distractions, even blessings that start to feel like burdens when you’re stretched too thin.
But let me remind you of this truth: even Jesus had to steal away.
The Son of God—the One with divine power, supernatural peace, and the authority to command storms—still had to step away from the crowds to pray, reset, and just be. And if He needed that kind of pause, why do we guilt ourselves for needing the same?
In Mark 1:35 (NASB), it says, "And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and prayed there." He didn’t wait until everyone was done needing Him. He didn’t wait until everything was perfect. He made the moment—and that’s your invitation, too.
This life is always going, going, going. Let it.
Yes, the world keeps spinning. But you, woman of God, are not obligated to spin with it until you’re dizzy and depleted. The people God has called you to serve need you whole, not just busy. And you’ll always get where you need to be, when you’re meant to be there. Rest doesn't delay the purpose—it prepares you for it.
So this month, choose to inhale peace and exhale pressure. Set down what’s not yours to carry. Whisper a prayer. Close your eyes for five seconds longer. Steal away—not to escape your life, but to breathe life back into yourself.
Because when life tries to take your breath, Champion... breathe anyway.
